The Graduate School PhD Completion Project Workshops
http://www.gradschool.umd.edu/PhD workshop Uploads/PhD Completion Project_2011-2012 Schedule.pdf
Each year, the Graduate School holds a series of events that provide advice and support for doctoral students at various stages of their graduate career. Our completion workshops bring leading experts to campus to discuss such topics as time management, writing a dissertation proposal, and preparing a job talk. The Graduate School has also offered the PhD Winter Write-In, which provides a structured time and space for the writing interspersed with presentations on managing the dissertation process. We especially encourage underrepresented minority graduate students to join us.
