Admissions Information
The application deadline is one month before the beginning of the Fall/Spring semesters Approximately: August 1st and January 1st. Students will need to submit official transcripts: each transcript must bear the signature of the registrar and the seal of the granting institution and should include the years of attendance, courses taken, grades received, class standing and the degree, certificate or diploma received. the transcripts should be mailed directly to

International Students and applicants with foreign credentials must submit academic records in the original language with literal English translations. Allow at least three months for evaluation. TOFEL scores are also required for all international applicants.

Open to qualified applicants with an earned bachelor's degree and a GPA of 3.0 from an accredited institution. Each student must complete the online graduate admission application, submit one copy of an official transcript from all previous institutions, and a current resume to the SPOC office. GRE scores are not required.
Degree Requirements
Master of Professional Studies in Geospatial Information Sciences (GIS) (MPGS)
The new Master of Professional Studies in Geospatial Information Sciences offers graduate courses in all the key areas of GIS most relevant to the contemporary workplace, including geographic information systems methods, remote sensing techniques, spatial analytical methods, modeling and specialized computer programming tailored to GIS needs.
Students will become well-versed in the theoretical underpinnings of GIS and given substantial practical experience in the application of state of the art computer-based systems to a wide range of real world problems.
Master of Professional Studies in Persian (MPST)
Part of the National Flagship Language Initiative, this full-time program offers students who already possess basic functional ability in Persian (roughly ILR 1+ or better, ACTFL Advanced or better, or 3-4 semesters of Persian) an unprecedented opportunity to develop professional proficiency in Persian, sufficient to study through, or work in, the language. The program employs an innovative, modular, task-based, multi-strand curriculum. Main content areas include modern Iranian culture, politics and international relations.
Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate Development (MPST)
The real estate development industry is a major economic engine for the U.S. economy. Filling a growing need within the field, the Master of Professional Studies and Graduate Certificate of Professional Studies in Real Estate Development offer graduate courses relevant to the broader economic, public and policy implications of real estate development activities.
The programs provide a foundation in the six aspects of real estate developmentland acquisition and redevelopment, finance, architectural design, construction management, marketing, and property management. Academic grounding is balanced with the professional tools and techniques essential to successful development, including negotiation skills and the fundamental process and legal tools to bring a development to fruition.
