PROMISE: Maryland’s Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) is an alliance of the three public research universities in Maryland -- University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), University of Maryland College Park (UMCP), and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). PROMISE is dedicated to increasing the numbers and diversity of Maryland’s Ph.D. graduates, particularly students in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields who go on to academic careers.
