    Step 1 - Complete the Online Graduate Application

    An online graduate application must be completed and submitted before sending any supporting materials to the University. This will ensure that these materials can be linked with your application as they are received. To complete the University of Maryland Graduate School online application, click on the following link:

    Note: If you are applying to the MBA or MS program offered by the Robert H. Smith School of Business, click here.

    Step 2 - Pay your Application Fee

    When you submit your online application, you will be assessed a $75 non-refundable application processing fee. Applicants are responsible for paying this fee whether or not they submit any supporting materials, are offered admission, or choose to enroll.

    Step 3 - Complete Your Program's Application Supplemental Form (ASF)

    After you submit your online application, you will be able to access your program’s Application Supplemental Form (ASF). Through the ASF, applicants provide additional information that is specific to the graduate program such as:

    · Letters of recommendation
    · Statement of Goals/Research Interests, and Experiences
    · Writing sample
    · Resume/Curriculum Vitae
    · Any other information requested by the Graduate Program to which you are applying

    Step 4 - Submit Test Scores and Transcripts

    Test Scores
    The Graduate School at the University of Maryland will only accept official test scores sent directly by the testing agencies. You must request the testing agencies that administer the following tests: GRE, GMAT, Miller Analogies Test, TOEFL, or IELTS, to report your test scores to the University of Maryland, College Park. The University’s institutional score reporting code for the GRE and TOEFL tests is 5814.

    Transcripts
    Applicants must send official, sealed undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all post-secondary schools they have attended.
