Now in its 4th year, this event brings alumni, current doctoral students and postdocs together to:

      • learn about the wide variety of career paths available to those with doctoral degrees
      • enable alumni to share information about the work that they do and skills necessary for success in their chosen career path and industry
      • enable alumni to share information about opportunities at their organization
      • create an opportunity for networking and advice sharing among all attendees

12:30-1:00 pm  Welcome and Overview of Careerpaths of UMD Doctoral Alumni

What do the data say about the career paths do UMD doctoral alumni pursue? This opening session will provide a snapshot of data collected about the current employment of doctoral alumni who graduated over the past 20 years. 

ALUMNI PANELS - Attendees will get to choose one panel in each session. Recordings of all panels will be made available to conference registrants.  Each panel will include three alumni who will describe the work they do, skills required for the type of work they do, how they got there, and advice for preparing for this sort of career.
