Phi Delta Gamma Graduate Fellowship
The Phi Delta Gamma Graduate Fellowship provides a $1,000 award to a University of Maryland graduate student who “best exemplifies interdisciplinary scholarship achievement.” Students at any stage of their graduate program are eligible to be nominated, provided their work reflects an interdisciplinary approach to research and learning and demonstrates the ability to connect ideas across different fields of study. Nominations for the Phi Delta Gamma Graduate Fellowship must be submitted by the student’s academic program.
Membership in Phi Delta Gamma is not required.

Nomination Instructions
Nomination packets must include:
- A completed nomination cover sheet;
- A personal statement (1,000 - 1,500 words) describing the nominee’s interdisciplinary scholarly achievement. The statement should be written for a non-specialist audience;
- The student’s curriculum vitae (2 page limit); and
- Letter of support from the student’s advisor describing the accomplishments of the student.
Each program may nominate one candidate.
Nomination packets must be submitted through the Graduate School Awards Portal by the specified deadline.
